I saw a thread about someone saying they were IP banned and thought it was because they were using the same internet cafe as someone who may have been botting/hacking on the server and they got IP banned in conjunction because they shared the same IP at some point, whether their defense has any merit I do not know, however this made me think about VPNs.
I often use a VPN to browse the internet and to download various content and I was just wondering, say in the situation that you were connected to your VPN and then launched Aries giving you the IP of whatever server in whatever country you select.
If someone had been botting before using the same VPN client connected to the same server wherever, are you putting yourself at risk by logging in while you have a VPN client running on your PC?
