5th Job Skills
All 5th Job skills are currently released as of the Black Mage update. If you have a Job in GMS/EMS with a skill that is unreleased and would like to help the Staff with said skill, please PM @Aiur or @Bread.

5th Job Advancement Quest
Things to know:
  • You no longer need to be Level 200 and have at least 100 Star Force and a 10-Star weapon
  • You do not need to complete the Temple of Time questline
Select the regular Quest icon (in white) on the left side of your screen and look for the 5th Job Advancement Quest, 'Call of the Erdas'.

Select 'Yes' and you will be teleported to a map with the Memory Keeper. Speak to him to complete the quest.

Continue the dialogue, and select 'Yes' to be teleported to a dimension where the Memory Keeper wishes you to speak with the Erdas.

Once you've been teleported back after your dialogue with the Erdas, speak to Memory Keeper to complete the quest.

Select the regular Quest icon (in white) on the left side of your screen and accept the quest, '5th Job: Preparing for Power'.

After conversing with Temple Keeper, you will need to acquire a total of 100 Star Force and inclusive of a 10-Star Weapon as instructed.

You may follow a brief guide here in acquiring 100 Star Force and the 10-Star Weapon.

To view the amount of Star Force you have acquired, open the Stat Window via the Stats key or Character option > Stats, where the value will be shown in the Detailed Stats section.

After you have acquired the necessary stars, head to Time Lane: Three Doors and speak to Temple Keeper to complete the quest, '5th Job: Preparing for Power'.
[You may access Three Doors via Quick Move > Ship > Frozen/Burning Past then head west; use the World Map if you get lost]

Once completed, select the regular Quest icon (in white) and accept the quest, '5th Job: Blessings of the Goddess'.

Seek out all 3 Goddesses as instructed, accept their quests and complete any requirement in order to acquire all 3 Arcane Stones required to progress.

All Horizon Portals will warp you to a map similar to this. You can find the Goddesses in any order you would like.

The Three Goddesses:
Location: Access via Bowman Instructional School

Enter the Horizon Portal and you will be teleported to a map. To get the Stone all you need to do is talk to her and she will give you a stone.

Location: Access via Pantheon, Great Temple Interior

You can get to the Heliseum by using the portal in Six Path Crossway. Click on the Interdimensional Portal to get there.

You will be teleported to a map with another Horizon Portal.

She will require you to defeat Magnus of ANY difficulty. After defeating Magnus, return to Grandis and talk to her to get another stone.
Location: Access via Dark World Tree

Head to Sleepywood and enter the rightmost portals until you get to the Humid Swamp. Enter the portal in the middle of the map and you will be taken to Dark World Tree: Deserted Camp. You will find another Horizon Portal on the right side of the map.

Talk to the Goddess and she will tell you that you need to find her at another Horizon Portal. After doing so you will be warped out of that map. Simply re-enter the Horizon Portal you entered to find the Goddess and the quest should be completed, therefore getting you another stone.

Once you have obtained all three stones, select the regular Quest icon (in white) and complete the quest, '5th Job: Blessings of the Goddess'.

Select the regular Quest icon (in white) again and accept the quest, '5th Job: Record of Power'.

You are now required to activate all 3 Arcane Stones; you may do so by double-clicking them one by one.

Select the regular Quest icon (in white) and complete the quest, '5th Job: Record of Power'.

Once done, you have now successfully completed your 5th Job advancement, and will be awarded a Skill Nodestone and 3 EXP Potions.
[NOTE: The EXP Potions do not provide EXP as there was no accumulation of EXP; double-click it to consume/remove]

You will now be able to get Arcane Force, Arcane Symbols, and Nodestones.

Arcane River, Arcane Symbols, and Arcane Force
Arcane River is a new area that requires Arcane Force. If you do not have the required amount of Arcane Force for the particular map, you will deal reduced damage and receive increased damage from monsters within the map.

After getting your job advancement, head to the Quest Icon on the side and accept the quest, 'A Greater Power' from Memory Keeper. He will tell you to Head to Arcane River and kill the first mob you see.

Head over to the top right portal and defeat 10 Happy Erdas.

Once you have done that, head over to the Quest Icon again to finish the quest and you will be rewarded with an Arcane Symbol. You can double click to equip it and find the new window for it in your Equipment Inventory Window. The obtained Arcane Symbol will give you + 300 Stat (Stat changes depending on Job) and + 30 ARC (Arcane Force)

You can collect more Arcane Symbols by hunting in Arcane River or completing Daily Quests for the respective regions within Arcane River.

NOTE: In order to equip your first Arcane Symbol with the subsequent symbols of specific regions, you need to equip the regional symbols then the blank symbol last (by typing @equipsymbol) in-game.

  • You must be Level 200+ and it is also helpful if you have Drop% Gear and a Pet Vac (from Aries Point Shop)

Go to Lake of Oblivion: Weathered Land of Happiness and collect 30 Happy Memory from Happy Erda.

Go back to Legato and complete Gathering Scattered Memories (1).
Accept Gathering Scattered Memories (2).
Go to Lake of Oblivion: Weathered Land of Rage and collect 50 Raging Memory from Raging Erda.

Return to Legato and complete Gathering Scattered Memories (2).
Accept Gathering Scattered Memories (3).
Go to Lake of Oblivion: Weathered Land of Sorrow and collect 70 Sad Memory from Sad Erda.

Return to Legato and complete Gathering Scattered Memories (3).
Accept Gathering Scattered Memories (4).
Go to Lake of Oblivion: Weathered Land of Joy and collect 90 Joyful Memory from Joyful Erda.

Return to Legato and complete Gathering Scattered Memories (4).
Accept The Restored Tree of Memory.
Talk to Kao and complete The Restored Tree of Memory.

Go to Lake of Oblivion: Lakeshore and talk to Kima.
Accept A Paper Boat On the Shores of Oblivion and then use the portal to be warped to Extinction Zone: Lakeshore.

Talk to Kao and accept and complete Huge Cliff of Fire Zone.
Enter the right portal to be warped to Extinction Zone: Fire Zone Cliff.
Walk upward (use the up arrow key) to be warped to Extinction Zone: Mirage Cliff.

Talk to Rino and accept and complete Crossing the Extinction Zone.
Talk to Kao and accept The Fountain of Reflection.
Talk to Rino and complete The Fountain of Reflection.
Talk to Rino and accept Taming the Flame (1).

Go to Extinction Zone: Rock Zone and collect 40 Solid Claw from Stone Erda.
Return to Rino and complete Taming the Flame (1).
Accept Taming the Flame (2).

Go to Extinction Zone: Fire Zone and collect 60 Sticky Oil from Blazing Erda.
Return to Rino and complete Taming the Flame (2).
Kao and Rino will then disappear.
Click the lightbulb above your head and accept the quest to collect 80 Hard Shells from Soulful Erda. This quest will be Taming the Flame (3).

Go to Extinction Zone: Spirit Zone and collect 80 Hard Shell from Soulful Erda.
Head back to Extinction Zone: Mirage Cliff and complete the quest above your head.
Kao and Rino should return after completing said quest.
Talk to Kao and accept A Memory's Reflection.
Talk to Rino and complete A Memory's Reflection.

Kao and Rino should disappear and Flame Bird should appear next to the portal to be warped to Cave of Repose: Cave Entrance.
Talk to Rino and accept and complete Lying in Repose.

Use the portal on the right to be warped to Cave of Repose: Forked Road 1.
Talk to Rino and accept The Solution is Dissolution (1).
Collect 50 Tranquil Solvent from Tranquil Erda in the map you are currently in.
Talk to Slaw on the right side of the map to complete The Solution is Dissolution (1).

Enter the middle portal to be warped to Cave of Repose: Forked Road 2.
Talk to Rino and accept The Solution is Dissolution (2).
Collect 70 Tranquil Solvent from Tranquil Erda in the map you are currently in.
Talk to Slaw on the right side of the map to complete The Solution is Dissolution (2).

Enter the middle portal that Slaw was next to to be warped to Cave of Repose: Cave Depths.
Talk to Rino and accept The Solution is Dissolution (3).
Collect 90 Tranquil Solvent from Tranquil Erda in the map you are currently in.
Talk to Slaw on the right side of the map to complete The Solution is Dissolution (3).

Enter the portal to be warped to Hidden Street: Arma's Hideout.
Defeat Arma (the only mob in that map) and then use the portal you used to enter on the left to be warped to Cave of Repose: Split Road of Destiny.

Talk to Kao and complete Defeat Arma.
Kao will then disappear. Enter the top right portal to be warped to Cave of Repose: Cave's End.
Enter the portal on the right to be warped to Cave of Repose: Damp Falls.
Talk to the Pile of Clothes and accept The Arcane Symbol of the Vanishing Journey.
You will then gain the Arcane Symbol: Vanishing Journey in your Equips Tab in your inventory.

Talk to Rona in Lake of Oblivion: Nameless Town for daily quests in acquiring your symbols for the Vanishing Journey region. She provides up to 5 quests, and completing each of them rewards you 1 Vanishing Journey Symbol; and if you complete all 5 quests, you will be rewarded with a bonus of 3 symbols.

Players who have completed the subsequent regions AFTER Vanishing Journey will be able to reduce 1 quest count for each region completed. Doing so will still reward you with the same amount of symbols per reset.
  • Completing Chu Chu Island questline reduces Vanishing Journey quest count to 4
  • Completing Lachelein questline reduces Vanishing Journey quest count to 3
  • Completing Arcana questline reduces Vanishing Journey quest count to 2
  • Completing Morass questline reduces Vanishing Journey quest count to 1

Talk to Simia in Chu Chu Island: Quiet Village Path for daily quests (also known as Chu Chu PQ) in acquiring your symbols for the Chu Chu Island region. You are allowed up to 3 rounds in total, and each round consists of collecting items from different monsters distributed around the entire map. For more information on how to go about doing so, you may refer to this guide HERE.

Players who have completed the subsequent regions AFTER Chu Chu Island will be able to reduce 1 quest count for each region completed. Doing so will still reward you with the same amount of symbols per reset.
  • Completing Lachelein questline reduces Chu Chu Island quest count to 2 (and/or allows 1 auto-complete entry)
  • Completing Arcana questline reduces Chu Chu Island quest count to 1 (and/or allows 2 auto-complete entries)

Go to Lachelein: Nightmare Clocktower.
Talk to Protective Mask and accept [Lachelein] Decisive Battle.
Defeat Normal Lucid.

Return to Protective Mask to complete [Lachelein] Decisive Battle.

These quests are not required to continue with the arcane maps but they reward you with the normal lucid medal upon completion. The quests stop mid-way if you have not killed normal lucid and require you to kill normal lucid to proceed with the entire questline. Since they are not required they are not covered here. The cracks look like this.

Talk to Mr. Flopsy the Dreamweaver in Lachelein: Nightmare Clocktower for daily quests (also known as Dream Defender) in acquiring your symbols for the Lachelein region. You are allowed up to 3 rounds in total, and each round consists of defeating Nightmare Music Boxes (purple) and turning them into Sleepy Music Boxes (yellow). For more information, you may refer to a brief guide HERE.

Players who have completed the subsequent regions AFTER Lachelein will be able to reduce 1 quest count for each region completed. Doing so will still reward you with the same amount of symbols per reset.
  • Completing Arcana questline reduces Lachelein quest count to 2 (and/or allows 1 auto-complete entry)

Defeat 100 Befuddled Spirits in any of the maps in the Cavern.

Rock Spirit rescue portion is auto-completed.
Return to Rock Spirit to complete the quest.

Talk to Rock Spirit.
Accept [Arcana] Between a Rock Spirit and a Hard Place.
Talk to Small Spirit.

Talk to Rock Spirit.

You will be teleported to another map, same as before kill all mobs to proceed, 3 stages once again.

Defeat the Corrupted Spirit of Harmony (there is no way to farm for monster collection so don't bother).

Talk to Spirit of Harmony.
Accept [Arcana] The Harmony of the Forest.
You will be rewarded with Arcane Symbol: Arcana and 3 more [arcane symbol slots] will be available.
The Arcana Daily, Spirit Saviour content is now accessible.

Talk to Rock Spirit in Arcana: Grove of the Spirit Tree for daily quests (known as Spirit Saviour) in acquiring your symbols for Arcana. You are allowed 3 rounds in total, each round having you save the rock spirits while running away from the flying toxic spirit. Players who have completed the subsequent regions AFTER Arcana will be able to reduce 1 quest count for each region completed. Doing so will still reward you with the same amount of symbols per reset.
  • Completing Morass questline reduces Arcana quest count to 2 (and/or allows 1 auto-complete entry)
  • Completing Esfera questline reduces Arcana quest count to 1 (and/or allows 2 auto-complete entries)

Things to note:
  • You must be Level 230 and have completed the quest, [Arcana] The Harmony of the Forest.
  • Drop rate isn't anywhere near as important here as the drops are pretty common and there are only a few drop quests, most only having like 20-30 drops required.
  • Most of the maps here are huge, classes with high mobility are really nice here and using Rope Lift which you got from the Lachelein questline is highly recommended.

It is a diary from Shey, the person you were during the questline. It's not required but if you want a short read it tells of Shey's retelling of key dates from the crystal crisis to That Day in Trueffet.

Climb up the vertical wall all the way to the top until you get teleported.

Speak to the unnamed Nova Soldier to your right and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Secure the Perimeter.
Stand on one of the glowing spots as shown in this [image] and double-click the Barrier Stone item in your 'Use' inventory tab.
Once done, it will auto-complete the remaining spots.

Speak to the unnamed Nova Soldier again to turn in the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Secure the Perimeter.
Head to the right and speak to the unnamed Resistance Soldier to accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Signal Flare.

Enter the hidden portal to the left denoted with this [icon] shown in the mini-map.
Defeat the Entangled Fragment monsters in Tenebrsis: Labyrinth of Suffering Interior 1 and collect Decent Flint (x10) and Decent Tree Branch (x50).
Once done, head back to Labyrinth of Suffering: Crash Site and speak to the unnamed Resistance Soldier to turn in the quest.

Speak to the unnamed Wounded Soldier to the left and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Into the Labyrinth.
Create a party and enter the hidden portal to the far-right, then select the option 'Skip the Dungeon and continue the quest'.
After the cutscene, click on the quest bubble above the clothes to turn in the quest.

Once back at Labyrinth of Suffering: Crash Site, speak to the unnamed Cygnus Soldier to the left and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Disappearance and Ambush.

After the dialogue, select 'Start' and you will be teleported to an instanced version of the map.
Eliminate 50 monsters within the time limit.

Speak to the unnamed Cygnus Soldier and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Search and Rescue.
Enter the hidden portal to the far-right of the map and select 'Skip the Dungeon and continue the quest'.

After the dialogue, head down and click on the candle-looking [pillar] and select the option 'Light candles'.
Destroy the blue-looking core that appears, then enter the orange-looking Labyrinth [portal].

Once back at Labyrinth of Suffering: Crash Site, speak to the unnamed Wounded Soldier and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Confusion.
After the dialogue, click on the Lightbulb icon above your character's head.

After the dialogue, head to the right and click on the quest bubble above empty space, and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Follow the Screams.
Once done, enter the hidden portal near you and ignore the current navigation above your character's head.
Eliminate Despairing Wing (x50) and Despairing Blade (x50) each at Tenebris: Labyrinth of Suffering Core 1 and 2.
Once done, click on the quest bubble above your character's head and turn in the quest.

After the cutscene, speak to the '???' NPC and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Reunited with an Alliance Member.
Eliminate 30 of the monsters around you to proceed.

Speak to ??? again and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Her Story.

Speak to Azalin and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Toward the Crash Site.
Follow the navigation above your character's head and enter the hidden portal to the left.

After the dialogue, click on the quest bubble on the wall above your character and accept the quest [Labyrinth of Suffering] Rat in the Swamp.
Ignore the monsters and keep heading east until you reach a cutscene.

Speak to Azalin and accept the quest, [Labryinth of Suffering] Traces of Despair.
Head to the hidden portal to the far-left to get to Tenebris: Labyrinth of Suffering Core 3.
Eliminate the Despairing Blade monsters and collect Burning Black Soul (x50).
Once done, head back via the portal to the right and speak to Azalin to turn in the quest.

Speak to Azalin again and accept the quest, [Labryinth of Suffering] Traces in the Endless Labyrinth.
Keep heading east until you trigger a dialogue that requires you to click Next.
Pick any hidden portal and proceed east through the next hidden portal.

Keep going through the dialogue and you will auto-complete the jumping puzzles.
Speak to the unnamed Cygnus Soldier closest to the left and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Growing Despair.
Then speak to the unnamed Resistance Soldier to the right, then the unnamed Nova Soldier, then the Resistance Soldier to the far right, and then the Cygnus Soldier, before finally the unnamed Nova Soldier to the furthest right to complete the quest.
After the dialogue, head to the hidden portal to the right.

After finding out the identity of the fallen soldiers, head to the hidden portal to the right.
Then speak to Azalin and accept the quest [Labyrinth of Suffering] Irrevocable.
Ignore the monsters and keep heading east until you reach Labyrinth of Suffering: Labyrinth of Suffering Core Peak.
Speak to Azalin and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] A Tiny Crack.
After the cutscene, speak to Azalin and turn in the quest.

Speak to Azalin again and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Mysterious Encounter.
Speak to ??? (masked-looking NPC) and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Alone Again.
After the cutscene, ignore the monsters and keep heading east until you trigger the next cutscene.

After the cutscene, click on the quest bubble above your character's head.
Then enter the hidden portal to the far-right and select the option 'Skip the Dungeon and continue the quest'.
Head down and click on the candle-looking [pillar] and select the option 'Light candles'.
Destroy the pink-looking core that appears, then enter the orange-looking Labyrinth [portal].

Click the quest bubble above your character's head to trigger the next cutscene.
Then click the quest bubble above your character's head again.

After the cutscenes at Labyrinth of Suffering: Labyrinth of Suffering Deep Core Base, click the quest bubble above your character's head (again).
Then enter the hidden portal to the right.

After the cutscenes, click the quest bubble above your character's head to trigger the next dialogue.
Head to the hidden portal to the far-left, then ignore the monsters and keep heading east until you return to Labyrinth of Suffering Deep Core Base.
Once there, click on the quest bubble above your character's head to trigger the next cutscene, then again.

After the cutscene, you will be teleported to Labyrinth of Suffering: Altar of Desire.
Defeat Verus Hilla (Story Mode) to proceed.

After Hilla disappears, speak to the Labyrinth Core with the quest bubble and accept the quest, [Labyrinth of Suffering] Source of Suffering.
The Labyrinth of Suffering questline is now complete.

Speak to Velivah at Labyrinth of Suffering: Labyrinth of Suffering Deep Core Base and accept the quest, [Daily Quest] Tenebris Research Group.
Then speak to her again and accept the quest, [Daily Quest] Tenebris Research.

Head to the top right of the map and speak to Orchid then accept the quest, [Limina] A Tenacious One.
Once the dialogue ends, head through the top-right portal.

At Limina: World's Sorrow Midpoint 2, speak to Orchid at the top of the map and accept the quest, [Limina] A Tenacious One 2.
Enter the top-right portal to proceed.

At Limina: World's Sorrow Midpoint 3, click the quest bubble above your character's head then select 'Start'.
Head through the top portal, and you will be teleported to an instanced map.
Ignore the monsters and keep heading through the portal at the top until you reach a cutscene.

Speak to Orchid floating in the air and accept the quest, [Limina] Guard Captain Darknell.
Defeat Guard Captain Darknell (Story Mode).

After the cutscenes, speak to Neinheart at Limina: End of the World 1-2 and accept the quest, [Limina] The Giant Appears then select 'Accept'.
Follow the navigation to Limina: End of the World 1-4 and eliminate Ascendion (x200).

Once done, head west back to Limina: End of the World 1-2 and speak to the Cygnus Soldier to turn in the quest.
Ignore the navigation above your character's head and head west, then speak to Neinheart and accept the quest, [Limina] On the Resistance Ship.

Follow the navigation now and head east until you reach Limina: End of the World 2-1.
After the cutscene, speak to Claudine at the top left of the map to turn in the quest.

Follow the navigation and head east until you reach Limina: End of the World 2-2.
Speak to the Resistance Soldier on the right of the map and accept the quest, [Limina] Still on the Resistance Ship.
Head through the top-right portal and speak to the fallen Resistance Soldiers around the map with a quest bubble.

Once you've spoken to all NPCs in the map with a quest bubble, head east to trigger the next cutscene.
Then speak to the Resistance Soldier back at Limina: End of the World 2-2 and turn in the quest, [Limina] Still on the Resistance Ship.
Speak to him again and accept the quest, [Limina] Light of Annihilation.

Head through the top-right portal and keep heading east until you trigger the next cutscene.
Then speak to the Resistance Soldier back at Limina: End of the World 2-2 and turn in the quest, [Limina] Light of Annihilation.

After the cutscene and your dialogue with Grendel, follow the navigation and head east to Limina: End of the World 1-2.
Speak to the Cygnus Soldier and accept the quest, [Limina] Jammed.

Follow the navigation and head east until you reach Limina: End of the World 1-6.
Eliminate the monsters, Foreberion (x200).

Once done, head west back to Limina: End of the World 1-1 and speak to Grendel the Really Old to turn in the quest, [Limina] Jammed.
Speak to him again and accept the quest, [Limina] Destiny Defined.

After the cutscenes and reaching Limina: Giant's Heart, head through the middle portal and select 'Go to the Temple of Darkness (Story Mode)'.
Defeat Black Mage (Story Mode).

After all the cutscenes and reaching Limina: Erda Flow, click on the quest bubble above your character's head to complete the quest.
Then speak to the White Mage and accept the quest, [Limina] As Decreed.

After the cutscenes and reaching Limina: Resistance Ship Deck, speak to Cygnus to turn in the quest, [Limina] As Decreed.

After the super-long cutscene of celebration and reaching Maple Alliance: Outpost, speak to Cygnus and accept the quest, [Limina] Defying Destiny.
With this, the Limina questline is now complete.

Speak to Velivah at any one of the following maps and accept the quest, [Daily Quest] Tenebris Research Group.
  • Moonbridge: White Spear Deck 3
  • Labyrinth of Suffering: Labyrinth of Suffering Deep Core Base
  • Limina: End of the World 1-1
Then speak to her again and accept the quest, [Daily Quest] Tenebris Research.

Upon completing the daily quests, you will be awarded with the Spark of Determination (x1) per quest completed.
Spark of Determination is a necessary item to participate in the Black Mage boss activity.

Nodestones & Skills
Each time you open a Node, you will get a random Node Skill. There are several different kinds.
  • Skill Nodes give you a Special V Job Skill.
  • Boost Nodes enhance skills that you already have.
  • Special Nodes give you a certain buff depending on if you meet the criteria or not. (These are currently disabled on AriesMS)
To learn a lot more about Nodestones, Unique V Skills, Special Cores, and Boost Cores you can go to Nexon's Information Page about V or Orange Mushroom's Page about V.

To get your first Nodestone, head again to the Quest Icon and click the Quest 'V Matrix'. Continue the quest and you will be rewarded with a Skill Node which gives you your Unique Job Skill.

In order to get more nodes, you will need to hunt them in Arcane River. Once you collect a Nodestone, you can double-click to use it and get a random node.

The skills that you get from Nodestones are random, so your job may be a Hero, but you might get a Xenon Boost node; this is NORMAL. (The GMS update that allowed players to acquire their own Node Skills at a 100% rate is not implemented in AriesMS).

If you are not finding the Nodes you need for your specific Job, you can always craft them.

For the 3rd batch of 5th Job skills implemented with the Black Mage patch, players can acquire the skill by either opening Nodestones or crafting them in the V Matrix UI.

In order to do so, you must find either Archelle in Lake of Oblivion: Nameless Town, Lyon in Chu Chu Island: Chu Chu Village or Hirrel in Morass: Trueffet Square.

As the Maple Guide will only include options within your level range; in order to access other regions, press the Maple Guide key a second time to open up the map for comprehensive access to all regions.

Node Shards are acquired from disassembling Nodes. Shards are stored outside of your inventory and are character-based; meaning they cannot be shared amongst different characters of the same account.

To disassemble a core, talk to Archelle, Lyon, or Hirrel and select the first option.

The V Matrix will then appear, allowing you to disassemble Nodes. In order to disassemble a Node, right-click on the Node and select Disassemble. Each different Node will give you a different amount of Node Shards.

You can also select the option, 'Disassemble Nodes', to disassemble multiple Nodes at one time. You may do so by selecting the 'Disassemble Nodes' option, and select the Nodes you wish to disassemble (with left-click) then select 'Disassemble' to disassemble them all at one go.

Once you have a decent amount of Node Shards, you can craft certain Nodes. To craft a Node, click the 'Nodecrafting' in the V Matrix and then scroll through/use the search function for a skill you would like. Once you have found a skill, click 'Craft' on the right side and then you will obtain the skill if you meet the requirements. You can also search for a skill, where the search field is case-sensitive (which means that you need to type in capital letters wherever necessary).

You can only do skills that pertain to your job. Every job has certain buffs to skill, but there are also Nodes that every single job can get. There are also special skills depending on your Job Branch (Warrior, Bowman, Pirate, etc).

Once you have obtained a Node, you can equip it to enhance skills. In order to do so, you must open the V Matrix from your skill tab.

It will open a V Matrix window where you can double-click on a Node at the bottom to equip it. Nodes equipped will appear in the V Tab in your Skill Window. You will only be able to equip a certain amount of Nodes when you start, and the amount you will be able to equip will increase as you level up.

To unequip a node, simply double-click on the Node in the Matrix and it will return to your inventory.

Certain cores can be leveled up in order to get a better effect from them.

In order to enhance a Node, enter the V Matrix from Archelle, right-click on a Node, then click 'Enhance'.

In order to upgrade Skill Nodes, you must have a node with similar skills.
In order to upgrade Boost Nodes, you will need to have a node of the same Boost.
Special Skills can not be upgraded.

When you enhance a core, it will gain a certain amount of experience, just like leveling up your character, you will need to fill that Node with experience in order to level up that certain Node. In order to see the experience, a Node has, simply click on the Node.

After completing 5th job, every level you get past 200 you will be awarded 1 matrix point until level 250 when you will have 50 matrix points.

You can use 1 point to enhance a node slot 1 level, up to a cap of 5 per slot.

When a node is placed in an upgraded node slot, it will gain bonus levels that go past the cap. Boost Nodes and Skill nodes can only go past the initial cap (50 for boost and 25 for skill) with the use of matrix points. If a skill has been upgraded due to node slots it will show a + value beside the skill to indicate how many matrix points have added to the skill.

If you are not level 250 you have the option of buying your next 2 node slots in advance (If you are level 230, you may buy the node slots you acquire at level 235 and 240 in advance). At earlier levels, the price is somewhat low at around a few hundred million but the last slot (level 250 node slot) costs around 1 billion meso to acquire in advance.

If a slot has been bought, it will show up like this and is useable like any other node slot.

If a slot is available to be purchased in advance it will show up like this and clicking on it will give you the option to purchase the slot in advance for an amount of meso dependent on what level you acquire the slot (higher leveled = higher price).

If you level into a node/matrix slot you bought in advance you will not be refunded your meso and the next slot will be available for purchase so it's only recommended if you really need the node slot and aren't training fast enough to level into the matrix slots.
