Wise sellers should know the longer they hold an item, the higher the chances of something identify/interchangeable may pop up. And thus, the higher chances bidders may back out due to the reason or simply lose interest.
And to be honest, for most of the items in game -- there's really no way to create differentiation... sellers in game have a much tougher life than those in real life... think about it -- from coins, cubes to kanna, leech svc... if you are running these as a business, it sucks as you can have huge competition offering basically the same. So I'll argue the game environment is way more beneficial for buyers not the sellers. Only things that may got a better chance creating differentiation are end-game gears. Especially something with decent mchoas and/or with more than 16 stars.
So back to your concerns, if you are really offering a decent price, and the seller still doesn't wanna let go -- either the seller doesn't have a good idea of the value of his/her item or simply being too greedy. No matter what, eventually this will harm the seller's interest more, not the buyer's. Will be an opposite story if the offer is really an attempt of lowballng…

PS. NO BUY NO INFLATION IF SELLERS ARE REALLY ASKING FOR TOO MUCH JUST DONT BUY LOL. SAVE INFLATION AND MAKE ARIES GREAT AGAIN YOOO
