Dragon's Cave
Dear players,

We're pleased to bring you Phase 2 of Project Revelry, where major revisions will be made to core features of the game to improve the overall gameplay, progression, and experience of the game. Project Revelry will span across multiple phases focusing on major aspects of the game that will undergo improvements where the total number of phases will not be revealed to retain anticipation. If you missed out on Phase 1, you can read it here.

As always, these changes are still subject to improvements if necessary, and encourage players to provide constructive feedback towards any aspect of the revisions we have overlooked.

Phase 2 – Merchants
In Phase 2, we will be focusing on merchants, and how they play a part in your progression towards bigger and fancier numbers.
[Release Date: Aug 7, 2021]

Character Slot Usage

  • Removed the maximum limitations towards the increment of character slot quantity at 30 and 40
We thought that players would most like to view this change first, as it heavily impacts the game experience and limitations of a game account's overall progression and class accessibility. Throughout the changes for Phase 2, players will witness several changes made to the accessibility of Character Slot Coupons and how these changes will impact the paths that players can now take toward a better game experience. The removal of the limitations at 30 and 40 slots meant those past limitations that restricted players from increasing the number of character slots they already had and where it required a specific source in order to exceed that limitation are now removed. However, the limitation of achieving 21 character slots via Character Slot Coupons purchased from the Cash Shop will remain and players will only be able to achieve a maximum of 50 character slots per account from all sources.

To simply put, players can increase the number of character slots in a game account via the Cash Shop until 21, then seek out other world sources if they wish to increase it further. Character Slot Coupons from any world source (excluding the Cash Shop) can now be used from 21 slots onwards up to 50 regardless of the method of acquisition. These changes will allow players to seek out the source that is most convenient to them and their time commitment to the game, and still be able to achieve the same result; the only difference is the time required to achieve them. Increments will no longer be gated behind a certain endgame content but will remain as additional options for players who have already achieved it.

The number of Character Slots allowed per activity or source will remain, and repeatable sources will only be from Seasonal Events and Vote Point Shop.

Achievements

  • Removed all contents from the Achievements Shop, and moved selected items to other existing shops
  • Its currency, 'Reward Coin' will no longer be useable
  • Disabled the Achievements System temporarily until Phase 3
In its current state, the Achievements System was stale and provided little to no incentive in completing them aside from the Achievements Shop that offered an unnecessary abundance of Innocence Scroll options. The game had one too many shops, and this was one of them. We wanted to retain a selection of items that we think players will appreciate and moved them to existing shops where they would serve a better purpose and provide better accessibility to players who needed them the most.

The Achievement System will be disabled temporarily as we work on improvements that will provide players a better experience and rewards in accordance with your efforts. We may or may not occasionally seek suggestions for improvements via Discord, so if you have something that you think would be a game-changer, make sure to join us on our Discord server.

The Special Shop is a universal shop that players interact with despite their time with the game and is, therefore, timeless. We wanted to provide options to players of both new and old and ensure that players would have sufficient reason to return to achieve an aspect of their progression. Instead of having new players constantly question what's so special about the 'Special Shop', its name will be modified into 'Universal Coin Shop' for easier integration. Its respective currencies have also undergone past name changes and will be modified once more to 'Regular Coin' and 'Elite Coin' in accordance with their sources of the regular channels and elite channels respectively.

Premium Miracle Cubes will be removed from all remaining sources mainly due to the fact that potential stamps for regular potential already existed, and partly because this cube was no longer functioning as it did before from official server changes. We wanted these stamps to become more accessible in the early game, thus the move from the Monster Park Shop to the Special Shop. That said, Revolutionary Miracle Cubes will also be removed from the Cash Shop and the cubing services offered by Lilin NPC in the Freemarket will also be removed. For the time being, Lilin will remain in the Freemarket and will offer players a different purpose in the future.

The existence of Super Scrolls, a type of 100% Spell Trace scroll that provided significantly higher stats than regular 100% 'GM' scrolls meant that lesser options would be redundant and didn't need to exist alongside a far superior option. With that, we replaced these 100% scrolls with a 50% counterpart that we hope will be much more approachable for newer players while the accessibility of Super Scrolls was adjusted. We have also added an alternative 50% scroll for stats acquired via 'Scroll for Earring INT' that offered the same stat values (and additional Magic Defense) and were tradable; creating the possibility of new market demand. The remaining items that were removed either already existed from another source (and an alternate source was unnecessary) or were completely useless as compared to better options.

The Lidium Heart, Gold, and Crystal Maple Leaf Emblems (previously from the Achievement Shop) will be given a new home along with a selection of innocence scrolls to create more possibilities for players in their evaluation toward certain decisions of risk and reward. We also moved the 'Miraculous Chaos Scroll 50%' from Monster Park to the Universal Coin Shop to improve its accessibility and reduce reliance on Monster Park for newer players.

We took into account the feedback that aside from multiplier cards, there was insufficient incentive towards the usage of Vote Points. Players that already achieved character levels which no longer required these cards or those that did not rely on drop or meso multipliers had nothing else to purchase and had, therefore, no essential purpose toward the acquisition of these points.

In this update, we added the Pixel damage skins (originally from the Pixel Event in official servers), the long-awaited Unit damage skins (albeit just two for now), and an additional option of Character Slot Coupon. Even if you don't fancy the new damage skins, additional character slots can never go wrong especially when it adds toward your Legion progression and the ability to experience another class. We hope to add more damage skins to the Vote Point Shop as time progresses. Unit damage skins will be added as well and will be limited to the Vote Point and Aries Point Shops only. As we wish to provide a consistent experience, any Korean and yet-to-be translated Unit skins will not be added to the game until they are translated into English by the official server.

For the Aries Point Shop, there weren't much-needed changes but improved the overall accessibility of the shop, its categories, and how the items were listed to provide better transparency towards your purchases especially for players that purchased Aries Points via our website. With the new look, we hope that this reduces the confusion when searching for an item.

We removed multiplier cards that already existed in the Vote Point Shop and other much more accessible sources. As new damage skins are added to the Aries Point Shop, we made sure that the best skins are still widely accessible and will be reserved for our signature seasonal events. Certain Unit damage skins will also be added exclusively to the Aries Point Shop apart from the Vote Point Shop depending on its visual cosmetic. As mentioned under the changes for the Vote Point Shop, Unit damage skins will be limited to the Vote Point and Aries Point Shops only. As we wish to provide a consistent experience, any Korean and yet-to-be translated Unit skins will not be added to the game until they are translated into English by the official server.

Item Removal
  • Red Cube
  • Epic Potential Scroll 100%
  • Bonus Potential Scroll 60%
  • Basic Damage Skin
    • This item will be moved to Miu Miu's Traveling Merchant
Item Modifications
  • Reduced the cost of the following items:
    • Bonus Potential Cube
    • Party Quest Damage Skin (Red & Blue)
Item Additions
  • Friends Ring
We intended for Party Quest Shop to be where it is right now especially from the changes in Phase 1, and there weren't many changes that were required to further improve it. However, we still wanted to improve the pricing for certain party quest-specific items, to provide more realistic pricing towards these items that we think players will seek in terms of equipment anvils.

Several items were also removed due to the fact that they were either already available from other universal sources or there were already better alternative sources to these existing items. The purpose was to allow players to focus on items that were exclusive to the Party Quest Shop and for players to be able to allocate their time as needed.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to adjust the cost of the following items, and are looking to modify them in a future update:

  • Soft Jelly Shoes
  • A Rice Cake on Top of My Head
  • Two Rice Cakes on Top of My Head
  • Goddess Shoes
  • Goddess Wristband
  • Minerva's Shoes
  • Minerva's Bracelet
  • Bright Altaire Earrings

  • Mu Lung Dojo Conquer Chair
Mu Lung Dojo is an activity that allows solo players to be able to acquire similar items towards player progression that we believe need plenty of work. However, this would require a complete system overhaul, and in Phase 2 we wanted to focus on the shop and ensure that its items were reasonably priced and realistic to achieve. These changes also included the removal of items that were already available from other universal sources, provided little to no progression to players, and/or didn't fit the purpose of Dojo. Several overdue Dojo-themed items were also added to the shop.

The Innocence Scroll 70% and Perfect Innocence Scroll 50% (that were previously from the Achievements Shop) will also be added to the Dojo Shop to retain the availability of these scrolls and ensure that they are still realistic to acquire albeit if it takes a little more effort as compared to other activities.

We are looking to revise the Dojo system and hope to release this in Phase 3. There are no details that we can provide as of now but are looking to improve the way that players acquire points and provide incentive(s) that will allow players to revisit this activity.

  • Added the following modifications to 'Star Force Super Scroll (1-15)':
    • Removed the usage for regular items and will work for Superior-tier items only
    • Revised the item name to 'Starforce Protection Scroll (Superior)'
Item Additions
  • Extreme Red Potion
  • Extreme Blue Potion
  • Extreme Green Potion
  • Extreme Gold Potion
  • Miraculous Chaos Scroll 40%
Changes towards the Monster Park Shop were either the most-awaited or the most-dreaded. Despite that, we wanted to ensure that the changes would improve the progression from early to mid-game, and still retain incentive for completing this activity. Whilst improving accessibility, several items were removed from this shop, notably Miraculous Chaos Scroll 50% and Super Scroll. Both of which will be relocated to the Universal Coin Shop and Revelry Shop respectively.

The relocation of the Super Scroll was well overdue and the purpose of doing so was to ensure that while it remained available to the market, the difficulty in acquiring it was increased. Our purpose in this decision was to allow easier integration into item progression for the early game through other scrolls provided via the Universal Coin Shop before the option of Super Scroll can be considered. This also means that the difficulty in acquiring the Super Scroll may be adjusted even after the release of Phase 2.

Phantom Forest Shop (NEW)

Accessibility

  • Added the Phantom Forest quest
  • Added Phantom Forest Daily Quests
Item Additions
  • White Gold Throwing Star
  • Crystal Ilbi Throwing-Stars
  • Balanced Fury
  • Magic Throwing Knife
After the most recent Phantom Forest update, the acquisition for Balanced Fury was removed from the server and players were unable to acquire it without the addition of the new Phantom Forest. In Phase 2, we are finally able to release this update and announce the return of Balanced Fury as well as the addition of other throwing stars that we think will fit best in this shop. In order to purchase items from the Phantom Forest Shop via Mo, players must complete the Phantom Forest questline and Daily Quests to earn Raven Ninja Coins.

We hope that the addition of the other throwing stars will provide players more vanity item options for Night Lords and the players that have requested for them. The remaining items (previously from TCG) that weren't added can be found in the Regular Gachapon.

Paragon Shop

Item Removal

  • Arcane Catalyst
  • Random Damage Skin Box
  • Random Mount Box
  • Musical Box
    • This item will be moved to Miu Miu's Traveling Merchant
Modifications
  • Reduced the cost of 'Character Slot Coupon'
Item Additions
  • Wolf Constellation Mount (90 Day) Coupon
  • Heroes Aran Damage Skin
  • Heroes Luminous Damage Skin
  • Heroes Evan Damage Skin
  • Heroes Shade Damage Skin
  • Heroes Phantom Damage Skin
  • Heroes Mercedes Damage Skin
For the Paragon Shop, we removed several items that provided no purpose to players and where it was not worth spending precious Nova Coins on. These included the Arcane Catalyst (which we improved the accessibility by adding it to the Legion Shop and Miu Miu's Traveling Merchant), as well as the Random Damage Skin and Mount Boxes. The Musical Box will be retained but it will be moved to Miu Miu's to ensure that your purchases are worth the time.

In exchange, we've added a couple of items that are exclusive to the Paragon Shop and will continue to add more items to incentivize Paragon activities. This includes items that are deemed fit too valuable to be added as Seasonal Event rewards and are not as valuable to be added as a GM Event reward; somewhere in between is where we think it'll be a good fit. This will be further expanded in Phase 3, where more of the Paragon System will be reviewed.

  • Super Scroll
  • Violet Cube
The Revelry Shop may seem familiar to most and resembles most like the Maple Rewards Shop. However, the goals that we want to pursue for the Revelry Shop are entirely different and the accessibility for a timeless shop like the Revelry Shop allows us to add more items without making it feel clogged up. This also eliminates the possibility of it being affected by any unintended events of Cash Shop malfunction where we can make changes easily and quickly. Another notable difference was that players were able to acquire Reward Points via sources such as Monster Collection and the conversion from Vote Points, where Revelry Points can only be acquired solely from bosses alone.

With the addition of Onyx Maple secondary equipment, these equipment will only be available through the Revelry Shop and will no longer be craftable via the Belle NPC in the Freemarket. We hope that the improvement in the acquisition of Onyx Maple equipment will provide players more options when it comes to seeking upgrades for your secondary equipment. The Hyper Teleport Rock was added in view of the multitude of requests that players have made and we hope this change will allow players to feel less restricted with their travel options.

The addition of the Rebirth Flames to the Revelry Shop was a difficult but purposeful decision. But in doing so, we hope to (1) abolish the power gating of flame acquisition via Elite Chaos bosses that were only accessible for Paragon-enabled players, and (2) allow better ease in acquiring flames in view of the RNG that is involved to achieve the most desirable result. This also means that instead of players using flames at the very endgame of their progression, they can now use it on any weapon that is Lv. 150 and above to provide a boost in power depending on the rolls that you get. The flames acquired from the Revelry Shop also have no expiry date upon purchase, which should reduce the stress that players are forced upon towards certain purchase decisions.

There are no plans to add flames to other sources of the game and we will be focusing on the Revelry Shop as the main source for flames. That said, the acquisition of flames via Elite Chaos bosses by combining fragments dropped by participating in those bosses will be eventually removed in Phase 3 to further simplify the process. At the current time, players will have 2 sources to acquire flames from: (1) the Revelry Shop, and (2) the Elite Chaos bosses.

Moving the Super Scroll to the Revelry Shop was a long-awaited change, and we wanted players to reconsider the Super Scroll as ONE of the options when scrolling their equipment, as opposed to the ONLY option when seeking an option with the least risk whilst gaining the most power to their arsenal. It was previously far too easily accessible and had no limitations, creating a market with an endless supply of these boxes. The Super Scroll will still remain as one of the strongest options for certain equipment pieces, and we want newer players to consider other available scrolling options before considering the Super Scroll.

In
Phase 1, we mentioned that the 'Star Force Super Scroll (1-15)' will be removed in view of the addition of the Safeguard feature, but have since reconsidered this change. This box will remain in the Monster Park Shop, however, players will no longer be able to use the box for any non-Superior tier equipment. The box will now be solely used in conjunction with the enhancement of 'Superior' tier equipment pieces. This should alleviate the worries that players have had towards upgrading their 'Superior' tier equipment as part of the player progression.

Aside from flames, Violet Cubes will also be making their new permanent home in the Revelry Shop, where it will be removed from the Maple Rewards Shop in approximately 14 days from the time of the release of Phase 2. This should allow players plenty of time to reconsider if they wish to spend their Reward Points on Violet Cubes via the Maple Reward Shop.

We will continue to monitor the feedback towards the pricing of the Powerful Rebirth Flame, Super Scroll, and Violet Cube to ensure that it is in line with the goals that we wish to pursue in terms of player progression and that it remains realistic to achieve.

____________________________________________________________________________________

The changes made in Phase 2 may be subjected to change if necessary, and we welcome constructive feedback to further improve them. We recognize the concerns for the monster population in certain Arcane River regions and are looking to investigate further while ensuring that our decisions will not clash with any upcoming map and/or population changes from official servers.

In Phase 3, we will be focusing on the endgame as well as improving minor aspects of the game that can be crucial to your game experience.

Until then.
