You need to find the recipe to craft it. There's places to farm it, its pretty easy. Google which mobs drop it!

Unfortunately, I do not know. My friend and I have been trying to figure that part out. good luck sir! I'm assuming you have to go out in the world and mine it yourself.

You can go into the mine in ardentmill and harvest purple crystals as you would with any mineral.
