Hello guys. First of all I want to ask is it worth to play here cause Im not sure if 700-1k players online is enough. Think its okay to make some trades, bosses etc but yeah. Always want to be sure about those things. Okay so... my journey with MS has stopped on v162 I think. Basically I have no idea what's going on with 5th jobs, new legion system, new features. My question is... is it possible to play without basically any knowledge of "new" Maple? I know that I need to make tons of characters for link skills and cards? Can anybody say how many characters I should make before I'll start with my main character. Also I want to know which jobs do u guys advise for main character? I think it would be helpful for me cause there are bossing characters and farming.

There are many well written guides in the guide section that will provide you with most of the answers you're looking for and would need as a new player (5th job info, legion info, training guides, etc.) Check out this progression guide as well. Speaking from personal experience there are more than enough players online to have a nice multiplayer experience if you're willing to put in the effort to make friends.

It doesn't really take much to get adjusted so long as you take it slow and try not to get overwhelmed. There are many little things to learn and the bigger things are easier to pick up (what to do for dailies, what is the meta for making money, etc.)

I think you should make around 10-12 link characters before picking a main if you're really undecided. Start off with mercedes as it gives a nice exp boost early on. Here is a wiki page highlighting all the different link skills. In AriesMS, you can reassign your links as many times as you want daily. I think you can see which links are most beneficiary (basically anything that adds % stat or a % of something such as damage.)

Nowadays the answer to what you should main is always going to be "play what you love." Most classes are fairly decent in what they do in terms of bossing and mobbing. Sure, some classes may be abysmal in one or the other, but it's not super crazy. Perhaps after making some link characters you will have a general idea of what you want to play. Then it is up to you to do the research on the specific class that you're eyeing.
