Currently, server will apply 7 days cooldown on Black Mage (BM) no matter cleared or not. As a consequence, players can challenge BM at most once per week.
However, as BM requires a lot of practice, it might take up to 20 attempts before players can clear successfully, which is a very long timeline.
From my point of view, a better approach is to follow GMS rules: one attempt per day and long cooldown only applies if BM is cleared.
I know for previous bosses, AMS uses its own cooldown rules, namely does not distinguish attempts and clears. But the waiting of 2 days vs 7 days are very different. For long cooldown bosses, I think the GMS rule offers a better experience overall.
Thanks!
