I'm going to be getting a MacBook for school this week, and I just wanted to know if I'm going to be able to run Aries on it or not.

I believe that you can, only that you must use bootcamp in order to run aries.

You can with Bootcamp, but definitely depends on which Macbook though. You can't really run Maple on Bootcamp on a Macbook Air without it overheating and sounding like it's about to blow up. But a pretty decent Macbook Pro should easily be able to run it .

Considering I have to get a MacBook Pro, this works in my favour. My only concern is that Aries might recognize bootcamp as a hacking program and I end up getting an unfair ban..

I have used Bootcamp to play Aries as my Kanna mule for like 1 month with no issues.

It depends more on the year than the actual product line. I run AriesMS on a 2015 MacBook Air and it runs perfectly fine, I experience less lag on my Mac than on a 3-year-old HP laptop. I've had more overheating running Chrome than Aries.

If I recall correctly, if you want to install Windows 8/10, you need a 2013 or later Mac. But yep, Aries runs fine on a Mac with Bootcamp.

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro coming in this week, so I should be okay.

Bootcamp is not a program that would recognized as a hacking program or virus. It's more of a base for an operating system. Like you C: drive if you're on windows but it's supported by bootcamp. Doesn't make a ton of sense but you won't need to worry.

Also for everyone who says it depends on the year: no it doesn't. If you're smart about what ISO.img you use for installing bootcamp and how up to date the drivers are when you install it and also what version of windows you choose to install it should run fine regardless of the system.
i play on a 12 inch 2017 macbook and have played on a 2015 macbook pro and then a 2015 macbook air as well. It really just depends on what you put into bootcamp to make it work.
