Bad .wz files

Computer says "You have been detected with bad WZ files. Please download clean WZ files to fix it."What is a WZ file exactly?

Hey, uhhm i can't seem to connect to the server. It keeps telling me i have bad wz files and need to fix them.
Can anyone help me with that, i don't know what to do.

Try placing Aries.exe (the elluel client) in an empty folder and run it. It will detect that the folder is empty and proceed to download all the clean files for the version Aries is currently at.

Make sure to delete the old maple files and turn off auto update if you have Nexon Launcher.

1. Delete all the maple files
2. Turn off auto update in nexon launcher
3. Put Aries.exe (the elluel client) in an empty folder and run it to download the necessary game files.

Hi, im currently on v200 of maplestory and I need 199.4 to play here. I've been trying to get the AIO file from megaupload but it has a cap every few hours. Is there an alternate link to download the files from with no cap like google drive? thanks in advance. Cheers!

Put aries.exe in an empty folder and run it. Make sure auto update in nexon launcher is disabled

Did you download using the aries client? Downloading using nexon launcher doesn't work atm since the versions are different.

Description: Every time I try to log into a character it says that i need to update my personal code, which i do, but after that it becomes irresponsive and a pop-up appears saying that i have bad wz and that i need to get clean wz. I recently went over to the normal servers to play for a bit, but I felt like coming back home, and i was met with this.
I have done this multiple times (switch to normal servers and come back) but this is the first time i have encountered this issue.

You need to download the files again using the Elluel client.

Well i did that and im still running into the same issue

At the current time, the Bad WZ Files error refers to your file versions being v200 and where AriesMS is at v199.4.

The only way to downgrade is to perform a full reinstallation of files with the Elluel Client by placing it in an empty folder and running it. Please also ensure that if you have Nexon Launcher installed, the 'Enable automatic updates' option is disabled under Settings > Game Configure.

Should you still encounter the same error after reinstalling, it means you have mixed up the files, and the method used was incorrect. Please refer to our Installation Guide for a step-by-step guide into installing with the Elluel Client.
