Suggestion: Server Maintenance not reducing item time

I think it's a bummer when you buy an item, such as a pvac, for a set amount of time and then non-scheduled server maintenance happens and you lose that amount of time on the item. Is it possible to code or implement server down time not counting against these timed items? For example, if the server is down for 30 minutes, then the players shouldn't lose 30 minutes on their items. Nobody being able to play is different than buying an item and logging off to use later.

Time-sensitive items will only be extended if server downtime exceeds 30 minutes.
