Hey Elluel, this might be a long one as I have thought about this for a long time, but I will try to keep everything concise and clear.
To begin, I think that pre 5th job, it was very feasible to have multiple mains, as you didn't have to do dailies to make them stronger or to reach newer maps. However, with the new addition of dailies, and the most time consuming being your arcana dailies, it has become extremely difficult to upkeep more than one main. For one to have more than one main, in order to reach farther parts to train in the arcane river or simply get your character powerful enough to be comparable to the common meta, you need to do dailies on one character(which are already quite time consuming regardless of how far you in the arcane river), then switch characters and do the EXACT SAME thing again. Now you can see how this might lead to burnout, or having just one character to main, while all other characters just become legion and link mules.
Okay so you might expect me to say "get rid of dailies", but realistically it is a huge part of the game at this point, and actually does reward the tryhard players who want to get to endgame. It is definitely still a turn-off to make more than one character that is at least relatively funded because to be able to even damage monsters at the end of the arcane river you need a ridiculous amount of arcane force. If you ever wanted to switch mains, could you still keep the same arcane force? No, you have to start all over again, and you cant just grind out until you have the same dmg, you are blocked by a time barrier.

In my opinion, Aries is an amazing server that tries to make the game more enjoyable and cut out the kind of monotonous stuff(prequests etc). It makes players ACTUALLY play the game instead of trying to delay your time and efforts with lame distractions. Aries seems make everything faster in a sense, except with arcane symbols. Also I dont like how you can get nodes for different classes than your own but I will save that for another thread. Aries actually makes it possible and imaginable to have separate mains because simply it takes you less effort to level any side characters. You can literally level 8 characters in the time it would take you to do one in normal servers. Aries is literally begging you to try out a bunch of characters while making legion/links, and find extra mains. Many times I have said to myself while making a legion mule, wow I would love to make this a separate main, but when I hit 200, funding is easy, only I realize that I cant progress this character unless I do dailies on this character to get arcane force, and it is just too time consuming.

Now I will tell you my proposals for what could fix this problem, mainly allowing you to only have to do dailies on one character while you side characters reap some sort of benefit.

The first option is the obvious one, where arcane symbol levels are account shared. By this I mean whatever character has the highest level arcane symbols will carry over to all other characters so they will have the same level symbols. So you would only have to do dailies on your Main main if you know what I mean, while you side characters reap the full benefits. This would also encourage players to do more dailies as it seems like it is bringing you a long term investment because you can switch mains at any time or have separate characters.

Next would be similar to the first option, but it would only add exp each time you "added" arcane symbols to your character. A pre-requisite would be having the symbols prequest done on the Side character(s) in order for them to get added exp each time you added exp to your main through dailies. With this option, you characters would probably all have different leveled arcane symbols, but each time you did a daily, it would give exp the same exp to characters with the symbol equipped. This would probably be really hard to code and would be annoying for players who already have maxed af on their main, so IMOH i would go with 1st or 3rd option.

3rd option: The last option would be to take your highest arcane force character, and have all side characters always have at least half(or other amount) of the main characters arcane symbol levels. So if your mains arcane symbols were all level 10, all you side characters would have at least lvl 5 symbols.

Lastly I just wanted to say this would definitely benefit the economy of aries and also the amount of donation points(wink wink). This is because people would be more inclined to fund/dress up/train side characters, buying more things from the action house, and endgame players who already think they dont need to buy anything else now would be able to play a second character. Although many characters dread dailies, I think this change or something like it would be love by the community, and push people to do their dailies every day! (increasing player count hehe)

I completely understand where you're coming from and the point you're putting across with regards to the time and effort spent on improving the bonuses that the symbols provide. What you're currently asking for is a custom system where a singular Arcane Force is taken into consideration for the entire account.

We strive to maintain custom changes within custom content only, that includes Paragon Levels. That said, we do not have plans of changing that culture, and we hope you'll understand our decisions in maintaining that order.

The only viable option is to utilize Arcane Catalysts to transfer symbols at a certain cost of your symbols' progress. At the current time, these Catalysts are not exactly accessible for players lower than the level cap (275) and would have to earn their way in both levels and currency required. I would ask that you allow us time to review and readjust the accessibility of Arcane Catalyst(s) in which I hope to achieve in the near future so that players are able to indulge in the strengths of each classes instead of pondering whether or not they should make the jump.

I believe the point of an up-to-date private server is to provide players with a shorter path towards a point in the game where the class is most enjoyable whilst maintaining the original structure of the game and the pursue of the endgame.

At the time of this response, we have achieved a point where we want Arcane Catalysts to be and have made it more accessible for players.

We find that this modification isn't necessary and will not be adding it.
